Candace Fox lives and works on Treaty 6 Territory in Saskatchewan, Canada. Her introductory to somatic therapies began in 2014 as she traveled to Costa Rica while trying to find tools and resources to support her own recovery journey.
In 2018, Candace began her formal education, studying Energy Psychology tools at the National EFT Training Institute (NeftTI) in Canada and EFT International (UK). Candace completed her Master certification (NeftTI) and Advanced certification (EFTi) in 2021 and the following year undertook practitioner training through the Center for Havening Research & Training Inc. (USA). In 2023, Candace was accepted to McMaster University's Professional Addiction Studies program where she is still studying and in 2024 traveled to Canada's West Coast for Recovery Coach training through Still Here. She is admittedly, a forever student.
Candace's interest of study and focus is in the intersection of neurodivergence and addiction, including eating disorders. She has done many presentations to the public and professional organizations looking at research and sharing her own personal story.
When Candace isn't studying or working you can find her traveling the globe in search of the best scenic views, nature trails, and cultural cuisine.
Marcel Petit is a man of many talents and skills. He is a multidisciplinary Métis artist with several film/video works to his name, from short dramas to feature documentaries. Marcel is also a talented photographer, having been featured in multiple publications in Canada. His artistic endeavors have also found Marcel supporting projects outside of his own, traveling around the world acting in TV and film projects.
Investing in his community is also very important to Marcel who has been the Executive Director of Core Neighborhood Youth Co-op (CNYC) in Saskatoon for over 8 years. In his role at CNYC, Marcel ensures the sustainability of the program through funding, staffing, meeting the expectations of the Board, and ensuring a positive environment for students to learn.
Over the past several decades as an artist, community leader, and Elder, Marcel has mentored innumerable youth through a number of community workshops and initiatives. He is also a compassionate ear for individuals experiencing addiction in the community.
Marcel is passionate about recovery, wellness, creative expression, and living life simply but to its fullest. When Marcel is not behind the lens, writing, or deep in conversation - you can find him spending quality time with friends and family, telling stories and cracking jokes.

Dr. Femi Ahmodu MBBS., MSC.( Pharm.), MRCPsych(UK), FRCPC, is a fully qualified psychiatrist. He started his clinical career in Dublin, Ireland where he obtained his training covering different specialties of psychiatry. Dr. Ahmodu worked in various specialties of psychiatry in Ireland, United Kingdom, and Canada. His interest is General Adult Psychiatry, Adolescent Psychiatry, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
Dr. Ahmodu is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Canada and a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrist, UK. Following the completion of his medical degree, he obtained a master’s degree in clinical pharmacology before proceeding for his clinical training in psychiatry. He obtained his training in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, at the Berenson -Allen Centre for Non-invasive Brain Stimulation, Harvard Medical School, USA. He is a teaching staff member of the Department of Psychiatry at the University and is a member of the Clinical TMS Society.
At his clinic, LifeCrest Medi Clinic in downtown Saskatoon, Dr. Ahmodu diagnoses and treats a wide range of mental health conditions, from depression, anxiety, PTSD, to bipolar disorders, and psychosis and is a certified provider of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatment for depression not responding to medication.
When not spending quality time with his family or reading, Dr. Ahmodu stays busy traveling, cycling, hiking or launching a new creative venture.

Nancy Forrester enjoys herself as an international speaker, award winning entrepreneur, and coach/therapist trainer. Following a 30 year career as an academic and psychotherapist, 12 years ago she founded the National Emotional Freedom Techniques ™ Institute (NeftTi) to train and certify coaches and therapists in Conscious EFT™. Conscious EFT™ is a holistic framework facilitating post trauma growth without requiring direct attention to trauma experiences. Conscious EFT™ integrates western psychology with current neuroscience research; held sacredly within a deep container of ancient eastern energy wisdom.
Nancy’s training and certification programs are renowned for their high value, playfulness and profound impact as she shares her passion to help the human service field evolve from their talk based paradigm to one where practitioners use the entirety of human experience to maximize their service to their clients and our world.

Ace Lafond is a proud member of the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation with maternal roots in Saddle Lake Cree Nation, Alberta. A doting father to his six children and husband to his wife, Ace is deeply committed to his family and community.
Crediting his late parents for teaching him resilience and self-reliance, Ace experienced hardships and poverty in his youth. Seventeen years ago, Ace committed to sobriety as a path to healing and stability. Since then, he has embraced a sober lifestyle, finding strength in traditional practices, connecting with family, and nurturing his spiritual well-being.
Passionate about his many ventures, roles, and projects, Ace has an entrepreneurial focus and creative spirit. In 2011, Ace successfully launched Ace Hydro-Vac, and recently expanded into other areas of entrepreneurship, emphasizing his passion for arts and cultural leadership. As an internationally recognized photographer, Ace operates Harmony Photography, specializing in fashion photography with a focus on Indigenous models and fashion designers. He also founded Tipi Harmony, a company that produces tipis and offers educational opportunities for individuals or organizations seeking to strengthen their cultural capacity through traditional tipi teachings.
Ace is well versed in group facilitation, teaching, and advising. He previously served as a coordinator at Core Neighborhood Youth Co-op and is currently SIIT's cultural coordinator. Ace values sharing his story, assisting others who seek growth and resilience, and imparting his knowledge of what it means to be a healthy First Nations person.
For over 25 years Jason Sexsmith has led a career dedicated to brain health within the pharmaceutical industry. Beginning in sales, his commitment to bringing value through education earned him regular awards and accolades and it was this expertise that he next utilized in various training and coaching roles.
Currently, Jason leads all learning and development initiatives as well as oversees commercial training strategies for Lundbeck Canada, a biopharmaceutical company focusing on brain health and neuroscience. It is this skill set and experience that Jason brings to enhance Men Recovering’s operational efficiencies and effectiveness.
Outside of work, Jason is keen to support non-profits and causes that align with his interests and intentions. He’s an avid traveler, dedicated father, sports fan and participant, and can happily be found in his backyard, on a ski trail or even his kitchen.
